Our Maine Coon isn't nearly that big ... but he is half again as big
as our Russian Blues:

He really isn't that interested in "people food." Mostly, he just
gobbles down the Iams kibble. If he wants some meat, he simply goes
and kills it. He does that a lot.

He certainly looks capable of killing his own food. The tail on that guy is
big enough to club little vermin to death.
I assume that these guys have mellow personalities? That they are good
around kids, etc?
I can not imagine owning a big cat like this if it had an aggressive
personality.

Very nice.
The occasional dead rat is usually offered to us (in fair exchange for
turkey--he can't seem to find any wild around here!)
